Our Community Past
Mars Hill Baptist Church was constituted on August 8, 1898 with 18 members and elected 2 deacons. They met on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month with Reverent J. J. Shadrix as pastor. The first elected deacons were Reuben Stitcher and D N Bateman. Services were held in the school house and summer revivals in the brush arbor.
Located between the cities of Douglasville and Carrollton, Mars Hill is in the rural community of Hulett where there are many livestock farmers.

Our Community Present
Today, Mars Hill Baptist Church still stands as a beacon of truth a century later. The community has changed, but the truth has not! Hulett is now a thriving community of loving people and become a major thoroughfare between three large cities: Carrollton, Villa Rica, and Douglasville.

Mars Hill continues to serve this wonderful community in a variety of ways, such as: Sunday Worship, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, group studies, youth ministries, sporting activities (Pickleball, Walks and Runs), and voting. We also house our own theological library and host weddings in the Albert Jones Chapel.
